Fun With Folds and Simple Stitches

Saturday, March 11, from 1pm - 5pm
The very essence of bookbinding begins with the folded sheet. In this class we’ll construct several fold variations and explore how to use folding within the book structure to tell a story, create a card, display photos and more. We’ll bind our folded sections into a folded book using several simple stitches.

Japanese Stab Bindings

Saturday, April 8, from 10am-4pm
A wide variety of stitch patterns make Japanese stab bindings both utilitarian and beautiful. We’ll learn five stitches, from very simple to more complex, and create a two notebook travel set, all while learning about the advantages of this attractive and versatile binding method.
